Dear colleagues, dear students,
In connection with coronavirus, which has also appeared in the Czech Republic in several individual cases, I have decided to stop face to face education at the school campus (Brno, Lednice, at school establishments) from 3rd to 15th March as a precautionary measure and to change to distance form. It concerns students of bachelor’s and master’s programmes in full-time and part-time form. The way of teaching will be determined by individual teachers. Credit week will be used for realization of teaching. I ask students to restrict significantly entry to the school campus. The measure also applies to collective excursions, practical trainings, etc., valid for two weeks with possible extension according to further development (individual practical trainings are followed by the procedures of each company). The student canteen, library, study rooms, study department and PC study rooms will be closed from Tuesday. At the same time, for preventive reasons, until further notice, I forbid all collective events in the school campus from next week. Measures from previous days apply to the employees. I recommend the employees not to travel to areas of infection with new coronavirus (depending on the current epidemiological situation). At the same time, the ban to invite guests from areas of infection continues. In the case of the first confirmed coronavirus infection in the South Moravian Region, the academics of the University will change to home office regime, so please follow the latest developments and current information, which are regularly published mainly by the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic and Regional Hygiene Stations of the South Moravian Region.
